BFF!

Have you ever had a realization while working on your computer? One minute you are typing about digital media while texting your best friend back home, then the next you know is that you realize how valuable your crappy little phone is. Now I realize this isn't all about digital media but it is at the same time. I was texting my best friend, Dan. We've been friends since high school and he is one of the only people I have been able to keep in my life after high school. I tell him everything. I miss him so much when I go to school and I text him on a daily basis. My day isn't complete if I don't hear from him.

This made me realize I'm so dependent on him to get me through the rough times. I honestly don't think there is something he doesn't know about me. Him and I have talked about dating before but we always decided it would be a bad idea. It isn't because of the distance between us or because we are so close, but because we are the only two people in each other's life who we can always depend on and who can always make each other smile. Over the years he has become not just my friend but my brother as well.

If it wasn't for my phone and being able to text him, then I don't think I would be able to make it through the days sometimes. He will always text me back trying to make me destress or not worry. Right now our phones are the only two things that are able to keep us connected. Many people think this is insane. Keeping  a friendship so strong, even though you have no idea if you'll even see each other again after graduation. Why not just let go?

I'll tell you why. Because no matter what happens I'll always have my phone on me

Just in case my best friend calls.
